Michael H. Weiss






Mr. Weiss practices in the areas of bankruptcy reorganization and litigation, financial restructuring and commercial law. He has represented debtors, trustee and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings in a variety of industries including banks, savings and loan institutions, copyright licensees, health care providers, real estate developers, hotels, manufacturers, steel fabricators, construction companies, international trading companies, restaurants, entertainment companies and financial companies. Mr. Weiss has extensive experience with hospital bankruptcies in both Chapter 11 reorganization as well as dissolution proceedings under Chapter 7.  He also has substantial experience representing parties in restructuring real estate, service and industrial companies outside of the bankruptcy process, as well as the acquisition of assets through various bankruptcy and related insolvency proceedings. In addition to bankruptcy law, Mr. Weiss also practices in the areas of general commercial law, financial derivatives, structured finance transactions, real estate secured transactions, intellectual property secured financing, directors and officers liability and insurance, regulation of bank and savings and loan holding companies, lender liability, state court receiverships and general civil litigation in state and federal court.
